Chingaari is set in Rangpur a far and forgotten village in rural India. Laibatti a red light den, is the place where night queen crawl out of the dark rooms to make a man's day. Basanti is a prostitute, who sells her body but not her soul. Chandan is a postman, who along with letters delivers his heart to Basanti. After nights of lust, Basanti finally finds love, Bhuvan Panda is a demon trapped in a man's body. He's less of a priest, more of a beast. Villagers worship as well as fear as fear him. Wicked as wolf and poisonous as snake. Bhuvan extorts money, sex and power. The story takes turn when Bhuvan gets to know that Basanti and Chandran are in love.

Sudama (Mukesh Rishi) based in London, runs a racket using hidden cameras to capture women in their intimate moments in changing rooms, honeymoon, bedrooms, etc. Sapna's (Neha Dhupia) fiance Arjuk Singh (Sunny Deol) a cop, is already probing into the racket and reaches London to nab him. Dinesh (MUkesh Tiwari & Murli Sharma), Sudama's trusted lientenants, have trapped Sapna, who wants to break free. The struggle attracts Ammu (Amisha Patel), who Witnessed Sapna being murdered. The duo chases Ammu, who is recued by Ashish (Ashish Chowdry) Aarti (Aarti Cahberia), Ammu's sister. Meanwhile, Arjun is looking for a clue to solve the case and gets to know Ammu. He saves Ammu and together the duo busts the porn racket!

Ramji (R. Madhavan) is an excellent cook from a village in Bihar called Takipur. Forced to come to England to work as a chef inorder to pay for his sister's weddign, Ramji finds himself wondering aimlessly in the streets of London. To add to his difficulties, Ramji loses his passport and visa whilst traveling on the London underground. COmletely lost in the city, a minor incident soon gets him a job as a chef in an Indian restaurant. Even though his life seems to have taken a terrible down turn, Ramji with his rural charm, earthy wisdom and pure-as-gold heart manages to turn the tide and eventually comes up trumps.

Yet another classic television series from the 1960s gets a big-screen update in this action-comedy inspired by the Bill Cosby/Robert Culp vehicle I Spy. Alex Scott (Owen Wilson) is a federal intelligence agent who has been assigned to find a particularly expensive and valuable weapon which has gone missing: a special stealth fighter jet which can not only hide from radar, but also turn invisible to the human eye. Scott learns a rogue agent has sold the jet to Gundars (Malcolm McDowell), a powerful and unscrupulous underground arms dealer. After blowing his opportunity to catch Gundars in the act, Scott formulates a Plan B -- it seems Gundars is a rabid boxing fan, so in order to get inside his organization, Scott recruits Kelly Robinson (Eddie Murphy), a longtime middleweight champion whose ego nearly exceeds his talent in the ring. Robinson is excited by the prospect of a life of espionage, but Scott and Robinson's personalities are like oil and water, and matters are hardly helped by the efforts of less-than-helpful fellow agents Rachel (Famke Janssen) and Carlos (Gary Cole). This adaptation of I Spy was directed by a woman who starred in a memorable television series herself, former Hill Street Blues regular Betty Thomas, who has gone on to a successful career behind the camera.
